Complete the steps relevant to the Finnish personal identity code, residence registration, tax card, employer payroll, banking and strong electronic identification.

Ask each authority which prior registration it needs.

Confirm healthcare and Kela eligibility, arrange an interim insurance plan where needed, choose a phone connection and learn the local transport system.

Families should contact childcare or school services early.

Track every appointment, receipt and pending decision. Keep a cash-flow buffer because salary, tax, banking or benefit timing may not align perfectly.
