Record the expiry date of your study permit and the application timing. If you apply late, the right to work while the new application is pending can differ from a timely extended-permit application.

A graduate permit gives time, but the first job must still support the city budget. Estimate take-home pay, actual rent, commuting, utilities and an emergency margin before committing to a location.
